That’s the finding of a study conducted by the Region of Waterloo, where 22 teams of volunteers scouted the streets and shelters of Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge surveying 300 homeless people, as part of the Canadian 20,000 Homes Campaign, on Nov. 30 and Dec.1.
The 20,000 Homes Campaign has as its aim to permanently house 20,000 homeless people by July 1, 2020.
